Solara will gently cleanse the skin. Topical anesthesia may be administered to ensure maximum comfort throughout the treatment.
During Treatment
Once the numbing cream has taken effect, the provider will gently pass SkinPen® over the treatment area. As the tiny needles create micro-channels in the skin, patients typically feel light pressure and a mild buzzing sensation, with minimal discomfort. The treatment lasts approximately 30 minutes.
After Treatment
Most patients notice slight redness in the treated area, similar to a mild sunburn. Additional common treatment responses include dryness, tightness, and peeling. This is normal and should subside within 24 to 72 hours. Makeup and sunscreen can be applied 24 hours after treatment. Please see patient labeling for detailed safety information.

SkinPen® Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment that uses tiny, controlled needles to create micro-injuries in the skin. This stimulates your body’s natural collagen and elastin production, improving texture, tone, and firmness.
This treatment is effective for reducing fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, enlarged pores, stretch marks, and uneven skin texture. It’s suitable for most skin types and tones.
Most patients see noticeable improvement after 3–6 sessions, spaced about 4–6 weeks apart. Your provider will recommend a treatment plan based on your skin’s condition and goals.
SkinPen® Microneedling is minimally invasive with little downtime. You may experience mild redness, swelling, or a tingling sensation for 24–48 hours. Topical numbing is applied to ensure comfort during the procedure.
